I decided to make two mind maps, one with the same idea and the other with something new. This is due to the reaction of the spaghetti western ideas and how they relate to me as a whole. This project will be deeper and more personal.
From project one, the main theme of that came up from this project was about moving on from the past and for this next phase it turned into choosing your own destiny.From this colossal theme also came with themes of free will, choices with consequences, and even the theme of the illusion of control. When thinking about reusing aspects of project one, I would still like to utilize ink and paper due to my connection with these materials. However, through experiments with water color, I would also like to include this medium as well due to the dream like aesthetic of using this material. However one noticeable thing I want to improve for this project is to add color due to the last project giving off a unfinished aesthetic which I didn’t intend. When considering my artist influences, KAWs is still one of my major influences however, this project specifically Aya Takano has become a major influence as well due to her surreal artwork and with the water color paint she uses in her work.
